Fundraiser for Doctors without Borders, I need help spreading the word!

I want to remind you about Nancy’s ColorPlay Bag. The pattern is $2, all of which will be donated to Doctors without Borders.  This bag is a terrific stash-buster and is fast and easy to make and felt.  All instructions are in the pattern, so that you can concentrate on playing with color.  The bags would be fantastic Christmas gifts, and you can easily vary the size and shape of your bags.  This is such a great cause, it deserves support.  Only 30 knitters have purchased the pattern, and $60 won’t go very far.  So, I would really appreciate it if you could share the Ravelry link with knitting friends, and raise awareness for this wonderful opportunity to have fun with color and also support the men and women fighting disease around the world at great personal cost.  I need help in spreading the word!   The pattern is on my Ravelry store, click here.

In other news, a few days ago my website stats went crazy, with hundreds of hits from Poland.  Today I discovered that a very nice review of “Annetarsia Knits” was the likely reason.  I needed Google translate to read it, and the translation wasn’t completely clear.  But I could tell that the review was positive, and it brought lots of Polish knitters into my world, which delights me.

  1. Anne, it was my “fault”. We have been discussing recently the subject of intarsia and a few days later I have found your book and decided to write a review – and it was very positive. And the comments are full of appreciation for your book and all the projects there. Funny fact – one of the knitters were browsing through the website and reading the review with her small boy on her knees and he saw the “train project” :) HIs mother has no other choice that to knit it :)
I hope that those Polish knitters will stay for a long time in the world of your beautiful designs. I’m going to.

Aga, that is so exciting! I love that my book is finding its way around the world. Thanks for writing, and keep in touch!

  2. Just a note to let you know that the first link to the pattern above is missing the colon after http, so the link doesn’t work. The second one works fine, and I’m off now to purchase the pattern. MSF is one of my top charitable organizations – they do so much incredible work.
