One New Years resolution down! And a new project started…

I finished the Duxbury Point Pullover!!!  This is the sweater for Bill that I have been knitting off and on since before starting to write “Annetarsia Knits”.  It is one of the UFO’s that I wanted to get finished in 2015.   I am pleased to say it fits him well, and he loves it.  The lambswool/silk yarn is very light, and this is a good indoor sweater.  The yarn is still available, and the pattern is in “Simply Shetland 4”. It is knit on size 4 needles, so it takes awhile, but the cables are fun to knit and it is a classic sweater to knit and wear.  I may have to “borrow” it to wear myself, once in awhile.

I already have a new project on the needles.  It’s been awhile since I’ve knitted intarsia garter stitch, and I’ve been missing it. Bobbie Hodges knit a version of the Dizzy scarf that she named “Ziggy Zaggy”.  It was photographed for “Annetarsia Knits”, but I didn’t get to keep it!  When I was back East last fall, Bobbie helped me pick out yarn at Village Yarn and Fiber, to make my own version.  She used Cascade 220 and Plymouth Gina (a yummy varigated wool).  The store doesn’t carry Cascade 220 anymore, so I substituted Rowan Pure Wool Worsted for the 2 shades of purple.  Now that Bill’s sweater is done, I am getting to the queue of projects waiting for me, and couldn’t wait to start my own “Ziggy Zaggy”!
