Yesterday was filled with a busy work day and a Presidential debate (NOT a good time to practice new skills!). Today, when I picked up my work to tackle Day 4’s challenge, I was happy to find myself falling easily back into cord-making. Today’s challenge was making a cord with pre-strung beads. Look at what happened! This is very cool. My favorite thing about this version is how the weight of the cord makes tensioning easier. Jennifer recommends spending only 30 minutes each day. This sample contains 40 size 6 seed beads, and took less than 15 minutes to do. I find beaded jewelry heavy to wear, but I think I could devise some very cool Christmas ornaments with beaded cords. Maybe I’ll embellish some Argyle ornaments with beaded cord, to add sparkle and weight. I love to combine crafts!
