The prototype of the Astoria sock knit with the A Hundred Ravens Annetarsia yarn kit is working up fast. Photos don’t really do it justice, because the color moves as the sock does. It looks different from every angle. Here is a peek at the sock from 4 directions. I’m actually almost done with this sock, I will probably finish it today. I think I will mix up the colors for the second sock, and maybe even pick a different color for the ribbing. What do you think? Should anything match for the mate, or can I go crazy?
I’m not particularly happy with the photos, because the colors are prettier in person. I will have Bill do photos of the completed socks, for the pattern pdf. I’m particularly in love with the pink, which has beautiful blush shading. If you look carefully, there is a hint of that, here.
