It’s a good thing that Brooke Nico and Carol Sulcoski of Black Bunny Fibers have teamed up. Brooke’s designs and Carol’s hand-dyed yarns are a match made in heaven. At the VKLive Chicago market, I decided to find yarn to knit a sweater from Brookes’ book “Lovely Knitted Lace”. She and Carol had a “Sip, Sip, Knit” booth in the market, and they helped me find the perfect yarn for the Floral tunic.
I had a wonderful time knitting this sweater. The pattern is enjoyable, and the yarn is divine – a heavy lace weight with some fluff to it, but strength at the core. Love it!
I will be wearing this all year round, and will think of my friends as I enjoy this beautiful sweater!
Pre-blocking. Yuck. This is when a knitter leans heavily on their faith in the designer, and in the blocked swatch that came out perfectly.
Looks better than before blocking, but the gussets are crazy! Still, I know Brooke Nico knows what she is doing. Looking forward to trying this on.
