Knitting class – #CraftCruises

When at sea, we had a lovely classroom, and a great time learning Annetarsia and other fun knitting tricks and techniques.  In the evenings we gathered in the “jigsaw puzzle” room and visited while we knit and crocheted.  There was lots of time to enjoy each other’s company, and it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience.  I miss everybody, and treasure the time we had together.

Finishing class! Seaming a sleeve onto a garment with mattress stitch. Knitting magic!

There’s a happy teddy bear in his adorable finished sweater!

Teddy really liked this sweater with the marled yarn and solid color borders. He is stylin’!

Chilling out in the classroom. You can’t argue with the working conditions on a cruise ship! Val and I are chatting with Becca, as the Alaskan wilderness went by. Bliss!

Blocking class! Victoria had been finishing the lace edging on the Land tour, and blocked this fabulous jacket on the ship, wearing it to dinner the next night. This is the Lestrange cloak http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lestrange-cloak

Knit night in the Jigsaw Puzzle room!

Group photo of our final knit night! We weren’t ALL present, but got a pretty impressive number of folks in the shot, with the projects we were working on.
