The Pi Shawl is a Finished Object (FO)!!! I finished the edging on the flight home from Stitches South.
Waiting to board, in Atlanta. Finishing the shawl.
Today I gave the finished shawl a bath, and pinned it out on our bed, the only place large enough to hold the entire shawl. The cats aren’t happy about being shut out of the bedroom, but they are going to have to wait to cuddle in the shawl until it is dry.
What I think of as the “cat spit” stage. I’m done, but unblocked the fabric is lumpy and uninspiring.
Close-up of the cat-spit fabric. Baby needs a bath.
Unblocked, and waiting to bloom into the work of art it was meant to be!
All washed and pinned out, to reveal the pattern’s glory. Blocking lace is right at the top of my favorite pastimes.
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Isn’t she lovely?
