Buttons for “Sassy”!

The knitting is done, ends are all buried, but there is still an important task to do before finishing a cardigan.  Picking out the right buttons, and sewing them on.

I searched through my button stash (yes, of course I have one!) and found the perfect button.  It fits well into my simple “k2tog, yo” buttonhole, and doesn’t compete with the fabric for attention.

I kept the buttons very simple, to not compete with the fabric. I think they are perfect!

Placing the buttons correctly the first time makes the process go quickly.  I place locking markers where the buttons go, which helps me keep track of their placement.

The fabric looks great on the right and wrong sides, and I love the Sassafras yarn.  It is a cozy, casual cardigan that goes with almost anything.

Next up, modeling the finished sweater!
