This month I had the chance to teach at Lion Brand Yarn Studio, in Greenwich Village, NYC. I was honored and pleased to be invited, and had a wonderful time. The staff and students are amazing, and if you go to NYC, you should definitely make the time to check it out.
The classrooms are large and bright, and we had plenty of room to play with yarn. I taught “Annetarsia: Be the Boss of Your Intarsia”, which is an all day class. LBYS supplied the piles of yarn, and we had a great time making yarn butterflies and creating order out of chaos.
LBYS offers lots of classes, and Deborah Jarchow will be there soon, doing weaving workshops. If I was in the vicinity, I would absolutely sign up for that!
The store had samples of weaving done with Lion Brand yarn, and I contented myself with buying a huge bag of yarn, and planning similar projects to do at home. Christmas is coming, it’s time to start making pretty things!
Thank you to everyone at LBYS for welcoming me, and making my (all too brief) trip to NYC an enormous pleasure. I plan to return!
